We have pleasure in welcoming Peter Gallagher as a new member of our team.  Formerly the Senior Vice President and Corporate Officer of Programme and Project Management for the GEC and Marconi group of companies.  Peter has gained 30+ years of experience delivering Programme and Project Management operational performance within the Defence, Telecommunications, Health and Business Systems sectors across the Globe.  With a background in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and with experience gained in Product Design, Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning, Customer Support, Marketing and General Management.  Peter has been a key figure in leading the push in raising the standards of project management performance and capability.  In 2002 he joined BAE Systems at their Project Management Director for Air Systems and in 2006 became the CEO of a Transatlantic project management training company providing training and development to the Defence Industry.

Vicky graduated in 1984 from Reading University with a Computer Science and Statistics honours degree. She joined CAP (latterly Sema Group and then Atos Origin) in their Business Systems team and later joined Synon Ltd as a Training Consultant delivering classroom training to clients of the Synon product set.

Vicky moved on to Easams Ltd (latterly Marconi Software Solutions) as a Project Manager and gained experience of delivering multi-million pound high profile private and public sector projects.

She joined Aim Academy as a Training Consultant in Project Management delivering PRINCE2 , APM and bespoke classroom training to private and public sector clients.

Vicky joined DPMS in 2007 in order to gain wider experience of training and consultancy services.

Mary McKinlay

DPMS is delighted to welcome Mary McKinlay to the Associate team.

Marys most recent role was as Head of Project Management at AMS Radar Systems Division, where she was responsible for the Project Management function which covers processes, standards, training and staff together with liaison with external bodies. Mary has been an active proponent of Lifecycle Management since its introduction in GEC-Marconi and frequently acts as a Phase Review Chairman/Assessor.

Mary was also Secretary to the AMS Project Management Council that covered the whole of the Anglo-Italian joint venture and is involved in the improvement of Project Management standards and effectiveness.

She is also a Member of Council for the Association for Project Management, and an Adjunct Professor of Project Management at ESC Lille.

We welcome Mary to the team.

Two complementary courses are now available. The 1 day VBM Overview and a 2 day VBM Workshop.

The Overview course introduces the concepts and terminology of VBM and includes taught material, group discussions and case study work. The Workshop also includes the use of software tools to help with understanding of the sensititivies of key measures, as well as taught material and case study work.

Both courses are designed for operational managers who are responsible for implementation of VBM, those responsible for improvements in VBM measures, and those responsible for strategic or operational decision making.
